Got a ticket this morning the first one since 1989. 71 in a 55 zone. Yes I was guilty the speed went from 65 to 55 zone that's were he got me. I was polite, told him I had a CC and was not carrying. Now I have to go to traffic court if he had wrote me for 69 I would not have to go. Rant over that is all.

So the lesson to be taken from this...

Watch that dial with numbers on it and match it to the signs on the side of the road.

For sure!! Those signs are there to keep the $$$$ in your pocket, as well as take the $$$$ from your pocket.

That's to bad I just got a written warning from a highway patrol the other day for going 65 in a 50 it worked out okay for me. I guess I'm suppose to go the speed limit

In the future you should refrain from breaking the law. You'll get fewer invitations to go to traffic court that way.

yeah I know i just wasn't paying attention to the signs just going with the flow of traffic. I should have been more careful got caught now i have to go the lawyer route. If I go to court they may give me PFJ and online traffic school and no points on my license. I'm only whining about going to court. even the border around my license plate ( my work number is 911) didn't help this time. Last time I was in the wife's car and she had left her EMS id badge in it and it saved me so I guess I was overdue

I find these to be a strange juxtaposition of realities. You're an enigma.

I hate traffic court! With my class a cdl and my job as a truck driver I can't afford to get tickets or anything. Sorry to hear of your misfortune....bet for the next couple months you'll be hyper-vigilant of posted speed limits. Good luck.

    :agree:

+++1 Pay a lawyer the ~same amount you would pay for the ticket+school and you won't have to worry about points or using one of your school visits.

Pay for a lawyer? Have you seen what those guys charge these days?
Better off pleading guilty and paying the whole fine.

You can ask for Traffic School, if you haven't been there for the past few years, still comes out to about the same money, but no points.

BTW- you would not have to go to traffic school if you were not speeding

That's your problem. Had you been carrying, the cop would just tell you to clean your gun and let you go.

Lawyer up. It will cost you the same, and you won't have to deal with it.

I used to have a great lawyer in NC. I'd just call him and tell him what the ticket was for and he'd call me back in a couple weeks and tell me what I owed him.

No fuss no muss no courts, traffic school, or other inconveniences.

pfft. Maybe you like contributing extra taxes to the state and jacked insurance bills. Lawyers are cheaper than the fines and court costs.
