for a Winchester 94 Trapper 44 Magnum Saddle Ring Carbine. According to the serial number it was manufactured in 1971.

An even trade. My Glock 36 for this Winchester 94. It has a few dings and scratches on it, but the bore is sharp and shiny and the action is tight. And that cheezy recoil pad has to go.

Good looking carbine. I wish I still had my 44 lever action carbine. Mine was a Marlin, but I always liked the slimmer fore-end of the Winchesters better.

You did good. Yea, dump the pad...haven't seen anything like that since...well, the 70's!

I've been itching for a .357 or .44 Mag lever rifle lately.

I have a Trapper in .44 magnum...don't be surprised by the fairly stiff recoil with heavy, high performance ammo. I have some 320 grain hard cast rounds from Alaskan Backpacker that make quite a fuss when shot. Maybe that's why the previous owner decided to use the recoil pad.
