I would buy a Toyota before I'd buy a GM or Dodge product.

I think you have it backwards. If he bought an auto owned by an increasingly socialist government, that would make him a supporter of socialism/communism. Him going out into the free market to decide where it is best to spend his money for his own needs not the needs of the state makes him a capitalist and supporter of the Republic as Jefferson saw it.

Toyota, along with the other Japanese car companies, have always produced quality products. When an issue is discovered, they do their due diligence in identifying and fixing the customer's cars ASAP. The same can't be said for Ford, GM, and Chrysler. They produced sub-quality, flawed, vehicles for many years, which in turn allowed the Japanese companies to over take them. When did any of the U.S. auto companies shut down all production and sales to correct problems in the field? Never. They could have cared less. Remember when it was discovered that Ford had done an internal study showing that it would be more beneficial economically for the company to pay out lawsuits for deaths caused by flaming pintos vs. re-calling them all to fix the problem? Compare the # of recalls Toyota, Honda, and Subaru, have had in the last 20 years vs. the American Big 3. The Big 3 win by a landslide. And with Toyota, Honda, Subaru, building plants in the U.S. and employing thousands of Americans here in the states unlike the Big 3 who shipped plants off to Mexico and other places, perhaps one should reconsider before calling for Toyota's demise.......

    Obama has apologized for something????

I thought he just acts polite and buys someone a beer while reframing his original moronic statement.

Further proof that HONDA is the cream of the Japanese crop. Nissan and Toyota have been playing catchup for years now.

You would also be waiting in line to get your car fixed. I don't blame you about GM or Dodge. I would not buy one of those either. I believe in no bailouts. Period. You can't make money with a company, the company needs to fold.

Nope, just bad engineering. This is what happens when you cut cost to be more profitable.

Don't see how as most Toyota's are built here in the US, so in essence he would be supporting our economy. Isn't global corporatism wonderful!:wavey:

Japanese sure are doing a good job now, huh? Took how long before they admitted a problem? How many people died or was injured before they admitted the problem. Keep reaching. It's a proven fact Ford's quality has surpassed Toyota's quality by far. Want me to look it up? Sorry, if you want to know the truth look it up for yourself. If not, keep believing Toyota cares about you. I don't think you can compare what happend over 20 years ago to now. The whole management crew has changed. The big three has always had plants outside the United States just like the other auto manufactures. Nothing new. I love to see Toyota squrim in their seats.!!!!!!

Of the Asian and Domestic market in automobiles, Toyota still produces the highest quality product.
