Made a trip to the gun store Friday to trade my S&W 642 in for a baby glock, but left with this. She was looking so pretty in the case while the salesman was doing paperwork on the glock, I said no,... I want this one.
 The sights suck, and the trigger is pretty heavy for a 1911, but I don't think I did bad for 33ft out. Also, there was a huge turtle, I mean frisbee size stumpin out in the middle of our pond. I leaned against a tree, shot him, heard it hit, he wavered from side to side, rared up and splashed backwards into the water. He was back on that stump in 15 min, I said touche to the turtle and left. Thanks for checking out my thread, hope yall had as fun of a sunday as I did.

Nice pistol, but why the hell would you shoot a turtle, just for the sake of shooting it?

New 1911 and shooting it = good

Shooting turtles for no reason = bad :crying:

I mean if you are going to hunt something you might not want to hunt the animal that is the slowest friggin one in the world :tongueout:

Go get you some jack rabbits or something :wavey:

    1. Name calling is uncalled for, grow up.

    2. I wish a mod would merge my two threads, or delete one.

    3. I fish this pond all summer and the amount of turtles that I catch is annoying, I hate loosing lures, and dragging them up only to kill them

    4. The turle is still alive and well, so maby you guys can sleep allittle better tonight?

I love my GI. I love to clean it watching WWII in HD.

I don't care what you shoot at, but remember that bullets bounce off water. My friend took one of his friends out shooting and the guy decided to be cool and try and shoot a bird out of a pond. The bullet skipped off the water and went half way through and window of the house hundreds of yards away. The real kicker is that a cop lives there, and his wife was in the room when the bullet got stuck in the window. :wow::wow:

That's a scary situation! glad nobody was hurt. There is a large stand of timber behind the lake, but i try not to do much shooting into the pond, unless a situation calls for it. Thanks for the complements Tactical, drizzle, deerpredator, ruggles, bnk
