Baked chicken and a diet soda. Friday's Buffalo Wings heated up in the oven count as baked chicken, right?

Started a couple of strips of bacon frying then added a hal an onion to the pan to start cooking. meanwhile I pattied up a 1/2 pound of ground beef into a burger and lightly seasoned it. Pushed the bacon and onions off to the sides and dropped it in the middle.

When it was cooked I dropped the bacon on top of it and put a slice of swiss on it. I pulled the onions out to drain a little on some paper towels and toasted the roll. I put BBQ sauce on both toasted roll halves. I put the burger on the bottom roll and onions on the top. I combined them and served with tater tots.

My mother had Mrs. Crit and I over for our family's traditional "White Dinner" -- mashed potatoes, pork loin, applesauce, cauliflower, yeast rolls, saeurkraut.

Or, as my wife explained it to a coworker, "You don't have to be White to eat it. It's just what color all the danged food is."

My friends and I have a "favorite restaurant pot luck". Everyone brings an item from a different restaurant we all like. So we start the year with all our favorites!

I think Helen Keller has been reincarnated, and was hired to work at our local Taco Bell. My Tostada's were crushed so bad, I needed the plastic spork to eat them. The beans were at the 6 o'clock position, I had to put my glasses on to find the cheese, and the lettuce was in the corner of the box. I'm pretty sure the red sauce was under the tortilla.

Our favorite local resturaunt, the Refectory, Columbus, OH. It was awesome! The fru-fru names for the dishes are a bit much, but it tastes sooooo good.
