Just got the GSSF coupon and going to purchase on Friday. I checked with the dealer and they have the 34 & 17 (those were the two I was looking for)-
Blue Labels:
G34 gen 3
G17 gen 4 w/Night Sights
G17 gen 4 w/Regular Sights
G17 gen 3

Now I have to decide what direction to go. I had every intention of getting the G34 but I had a G17 in the old days and loved it (traded it????). I am going to shoot a few GSSF events but I am a rookie when it comes to target shooting. So not sure if I need to step up to the G34. The G34 in Blue Label would come with the heavier trigger and fixed sights. If I was forced to decide this second- I would lean G17 gen 4 RS.
Thoughts? Opinions?
PS- If I do go G17 should I ask if it has that new ejector/extractor # 30274? Is there a recoil spring # I should be looking for? Not sure if they will let me crack open the Glock to check?

I picked up a G35 gen 3. I wanted a 34, but stumbled across a deal on the 35 and jumped on it. I like the long sight radius, but I've heard that you can lighten the slide on a 17 more to get a faster cycle speed.

If the trigger right is an issue, the "-" connector is only about $15.

You will only be able to shoot the 34 in "competition" division at GSSF. You can shoot the 17 in Comp or Civilian.

Typically there will be more people in Civ and more "talent" in Comp.
Yikes. Don't think I am even close to being in a "competition" division. I can do my own research, but am I correct to believe the Competition division is much more difficult?
