Last year I picked up a G36 kit gun built on a Tommy Built receiver, creating what is more or less a semiauto G36E. The fellow I got it from put an old ACOG on it. I really like the gun, accuracy is pretty good and so far function has been excellent.
Broke down and got a Tommy Built T36C earlier this month. Had him add the IDZ brace before shipping. These are about as close as we can get to owning a G36... unless you buy a HK SL8 and send it to Tommy Bostic for conversion. The quality of the build is great, I really like these guns. Both of mine are in 5.56mm but he is making these in .300 black out as well. I added a Crimson Trace light and Leupold Gilmore red dot to the C model to make it more useful should there be things that go bump in the night needing my attention.

    E model.

The two guns together to give a better idea on how size compares to one another.

Yeah, delivered with the arm brace and transfer you are ballpark $3000. But much cheaper than doing a SL8 conversion.

Thanks for posting! I've seen these but hadn't yet heard of anyone who owns one. Please follow up with an extended report on function, reliability, and accurcy :)

Added a G36 optic rail with 3.5x optic to the E model.
