so im flipping thru the movie channels when i come across billy jack goes to washington...so i decide to give it a watch...well can anyone say mr smith goes to washington ripp off.

so i decided to use alittle google-fu and it seems this nut (who looks about 80 now) is still trying to get these billy jack movies made and how he is going to change the world of movie makeing..yada yada yada

then i make the mistake of going to his website and see 20 youtube vids of him explaining why john travolta is being framed and he has proof..zimmerman did it...and mitt romney cant be trusted...

its so sad when someone just cant let go..

its not about him being older its about his belief that there is some huge billy jack following and that he can change the whole entertainment industry...i understnd he was makeing a billy jack movie in 1985 and he ended up with a neck injury and concussion.

its like that guy that use to be eddie munster, i hear even to day he sends the networks scripts about new sitcoms starring him as eddie munster grown up..

I like the Billy Jack movies. They are pretty campy.

Let's remember him when he was bad-azz, before he got old and loopy, like we all will one day.

Born Losers and Billy Jack are great movies (hence my avatar pic - Tom Laughlin as Billy Jack in Born Losers), especially considered in the context of when and how they were made. They were very popular back in the day.

The themes of those movies should make them pretty popular with second amendment supporters as well. All about how the pacifist and cowardly will be victims of predators and it takes a man with a gun and a fast right foot to save them.

He ran for President as a Democrat in 1992 primaries, then dropped out to work for Ross Perot's campaign.
He tried again in 2004 as a Republican, did even worse.
Then in 2008 he ran again as a Democrat, I think he lost.

His stunt double in Billy Jack was Hapkido master Bong Soo Han, so Billy Jack didn't kick any azz; somebody else kicked that azz for him.

Most people are aware that Billy Jack was a fictional character.

I sometimes use Billy Jack in hypothetical examples in a legal class I teach, but most 20-something LE officers today don't even know who I'm talking about.

Tom Laughlin and his wife Deloris turned $800,000 of their own money into more than $72,000,000 with their idea of Billy Jack. Can any of the negative Nancy's here say the same thing for themselves? I didn't think so.

I was in my undergraduate program at the time the movie came out. I recall the girls went gaga over him. I loved the movie then. I tried to watch it more recently and it was tough. The movie was perfect for the times, but it does not play well today.
