Thought you guys might like this:
great video , really explains why its so enjoyable
i remeber the first time i fell in love with flight , taking a flight from Chicago to Tokyo the pilots invited all of the kids to see the cockpit on a 747-200
more gauges i ever imagine, i even kept the certificate after all these years
Wish I could watch that one again for the first time (and again, and again).
This one should be coming out this year sometime. Looks like it's gonna be just as good (hopefully).
A Pilot's Story
And here's another short clip of highlights from AirVenture 2009 set to music (you pilots out there probably have already seen this, but it's great if you haven't).
Thank you sir! Great post, just started and already glued! Beautiful Cub too! Now the next 1 and half hours before my "expected" alert are covered!
Can anyone please tell me what model is the first twin-engine plane shown? (the silver one in the opening sequence)
I believe that was a A-26.
Wow. Those little Cosmic race planes are awesome!
I learned so much from that little simple documentary. Was really glued for the entire thing. Crazy it went from
As a Cub pilot and guy that truly loves flying, this movie is my favorite of all-time. The scenery, the pilots, the planes, the stories...there's not a time that goes by when I watch this when I don't blubber like a baby in some scenes. When you truly love something, it's hard not to.
I was truly born in the wrong generation...the golden days of flying are long past. Those of us that fly the classics need to keep it alive.
thanks for the link!
El-tag-o-reno for later.
Great video. Thanks for posting.
You were correct, Thanks!
will have to watch at a later time
Tho I rarely fly anymore, I ate, drank, and slept flying for several years. My other half took this photo several years ago with a cheap camera, and it still remains one of my favorite photos taken while I was in the left seat.
Mo matter how you look at Chicago, Mayor Daily is Dirty Rotten Son-Of-A-Gun

To you Sir
Nice wingspar. What acft is that.
