It's good to remember that Judas was the first to leave Mass early.
Why do you call it a Mass?
The term "Mass" is derived from the Late Latin word missa (dismissal), a word used in the concluding formula of Mass in Latin: "Ite, missa est" ("Go; it is the dismissal").
Why were they all sitting on one side of the table?
They probably weren't but the artist who painted it most likely wanted to capture all of there faces.
