I need a new set of night sights on my g19 gen2. It has the factor night sights on it still from the factory. This will be my EDC so i'm looking for the best sight i can for defense. I also love to shoot this gun at the range, so i want to have a good range picture as well. Right now i'm looking at these.

    Trijicon HD's http://www.trijicon.com/na_en/products/product1.php?id=HDNS

Ameriglo CAP's or some version of the CAP with either a pro operator rear or black rear. http://www.ameriglo.net/catalog/sights/pistol-sights/glock/night-sights/complete-sets/u-rap

    XS Big dot http://www.xssights.com/index.php?nID=sights&cID=Sights&pID=sights&sID=handgun

This sight system has also caught my attention.
Speed sights Tritium night sight. http://shop.speedsights.com/glock

Any input from people who have used any of the sight mentioned would be really helpful. I have read a lot about the Trijicon,Ameriglo, and XS but not much is out there about the speed sights.
    Thanks for the input.

There is a 8/29/2010 review of the Speed Sights from GT member NAC that will be helpful if you haven't already read it (Last edited by NAC; 06-23-2011). He is also familiar with the XS Big Dot sights for comparison in the review.

Looking at all of them, right now, from my desk, I'm liking the Trijicons best. I'd need to sight down the barrel to choose between orange and yellow, but I'm thinking orange.

There's no question that the serrations help gobble up reflected light (see attached)...

And designing the rear sight to help facilitate one-handed cocking is smart! But I wonder if it would catch on clothing in a CCW situation?

Those AmeriGlo's look sweet too, though...

P.S. We tried the XS sights on my wife’s G19, and while they're great for point-and-shoot defense, we found them wanting for range play... Our shooting immediately improved by switching to Trijicon’s.
