2nd generation G-19 + surefire rail + streamlight TLR-1
I that necessary to mount the TLR-1 on a G19? I hope you did it to have the quick release ability instead of using the screw.
Ummm, my guess would be since there was no rail on the gun.
My G23 after a day at the range with the TLR-1 (before cleaning obviously). Had two failure to feed incidents with the streamlight attached. Fired flawlessly without the light. I've heard of a few other people having similar problems with the G23/TRL-1 combo on the boards. Looks like I'll keep the G23 "sterile" with no light attached. Otherwise, she fired like a dream!
OOPS Missed that. Mine has the rail. Thought his was just covered by the bracket.
I have been told the light problem is the clamps are too tight and therefore cause the problem. I have the glock light on mine and it works well and have never had a jam with or without the light
I was curious of possible solutions for attaching a light to my gen2 glock and came up with the above set up. It works very well and has no effect at all on reliability.
