I'm ready to invest in a timer like the ones used at the GSSF matches. Any recommendations as to what brand, what features are needed and where to get one will be appreciated..... Thanks

We've been using a Competition Dynamics Pocket Pro Timer. It has served us well, reasonably priced. There others that offer more features but are more expensive.

Pact. Reasonable price, will do anything you need to do for practice.

If you want to buy one timer that does it all IMO go with the MK IV CHAMPIONSHIP TIMER from Pact. If you don't have a chronograph get the chronograph feature added and you will be set to do it all. The Comstock Go feature on the MK IV is great when you are practicing alone. You will spend a little more money but you can do it all with a MK IV.
I have had a MK IV for about 4 years now and have not had any problems with it.

Brian Enos has them over on his site.

I had some customer service problems with Pact. For the same money, I like the CED 6000 a lot better than the Club II. Feel free to e-mail me if you want details.
