Apparently, messing with friend's unlocked computers is all the rage now a days.

Things like putting disgusting pornographic photos as the desktop background, or changing a facebook status to something related to pedophilia, or big hairy men.. :puking:

So, what are your favorite computer related pranks?

He usually locks his computer, but now and then he slips up and I need to be ready to strike!

Ensure that the next time he's at google and presses "G", he gets about 200 results for gay porn.

Take a screenshot of his desktop, set it as his background pic, then delete all his icons and hide the taskbar.

Shift+alt+print screen then enter - turns on high contrast mode, pretty funny if youve never seen it before. Same thing to turn it off. Most people dont know what it is.

Depending on his video card, you can press ctrl+alt and an arrow key to flip his display around.

    Open email program
    set up email to "president@whitehouse.gov"
"Dear Mr President, ..." make up your own words as it goes along

Leave the email open on the desktop for it to be front and center when roommate comes back.

Have your friends call his cell phone throughout the day and disguise their voices in low, throaty but tranny type speech. Say they got his name and number off from transgenderlove.com and it will be their pleasure to satisfy his curiosity.

The worst one I have seen is tagging people on a pic of a ****** that belongs to someone with herpes.

As far as what I do, I just use the old delete the icons and then use a desktop screenshot as a desktop background.

At work, we have this Intel Graphics Media Accelerator Driver, and if you right click and go through a couple options, you can turn the desktop upside down.

Oh, wait. Get on his email and respond to every single spam with "please remove me from the list" and click on every link to be removed from their email lists.

One of my coworkers who has his pc in a common area did this after people were using it. Very, very funny.

LOL, I have a simmilar one...

When I started doing desktop support for a company years ago, I had a guy who sat in front of me and every single day he would some how find a reason to mention how he had his MCSE or some cert...

I got tired of this after a few weeks and decided it was prank time... So, I got there early one day and did a google for PC Pranks... I found this little free app that goes in the start up and inverts your video and remains hidden, unless you hit the secret key sequence....

I put it on his PC and shut it down and left for some breakfast and to make myself late, so I would not be there before him and look guilty...

I came about 20 minutes after him and he was sitting there grumpling.. I got busy and forgot about it... Later that day, he had uninstalled his video card and replaced it, the next day almost lunch time, he has his monitor Upside down...

The group suporvisor calls me and says, OK, what did yuo do to his PC... I just laughed, he gave me the look, then I told him what I had done and why... I thought I was going to get it.... He starts crackin up and waits awhile then tell the guy he heard about some virus and how it did that... He finally got it fixed, but never knew it was me....

Not that it was that great, but that was my best ever...

Here is one, not somethgn I did, but rather was done to me, sorta...

I was remote desktopped into the Boss PC so he could show me something and mistakenly I walked away and left my PC unlocked to go to lunch...

As soon as I walked away from my desk, one of the clowns jumped in my seat and changed my (so he thought) background to something ""My Little Pony" or some pink girly pony thing...

Soon as the boss seen it, he knew who it was as the culprit was famous for this...

Don't forget to move the taskbar to the top of the screen before hiding. It makes it a little harder to find.

Also, one of my co-workers popped off a couple letters from a Captain's keyboard, and switched them around.

That one is hilarious... You really don't even have to delete the icons, just cut/paste them into a folder hidden somewhere on C:.. and when you decide to let up, simply drag/drop them back.
