.40 gets my vote. Packs more of a punch than the 9mm whiles still having great capacity.

I'd rather be judged by twelve than carried by six

I vote the .45. I have never liked the way .40 shoots in any platform. But I guess I am weird that way.

Every AMERICAN should own a .45ACP.

At least this didn't turn into another 9mm vs. .45acp thread.

I agree you are not weird. I'm a 9mm guy but .45 acp is my second favorite for pistols. I would go with the gen 4 21.

    One more vote for .45

My buddy has a G22, but he Loves how "soft" my 21 and 36 shoot compared to his Glock.

I think the .40 shoots nice in Gen4 platform, that being said, I would still lean towards a .45

I have both...both equally controllable.. IMHO it comes down to cartridge preference.

.40 rocks! Capacity AND power; but yes... for some, it does require a little more effort. Personally, I love shooting it. It gets my vote.

Depends what you want out of the gun. As far as subcompacts go, I prefer the G27 to the G30 or G36. It's a much smaller gun, but very controllable.

Full size? I'd probably get a G21. Very, very sweet shooting gun.

The cartridge is up to you, I vote for G21, G30, or G35.

If you can't decide on the cartridge, I say get one of each.

It all depends on the size of your hand. If you have large hands then the 0.45 would be just dandy while the 0.40 caliber has a smaller (thinner) grip. Both calibers are very potent.

G21 sf is my vote...tough to beat 13+1 in .45 acp

    G30 would be next choice
