I have to say I agree....
They can now test for PSA if you fail then the probe is next... advances in medicine... maybe you need a new doctor?
PSA test are real reliable
Maybe you need a new doctor...
Primary care guys do the PSA and skip the DRE (digital rectal exam) b/c they now the finger in the pooper isn't popular. Cancers are missed by PSA alone and the docs know it. They also know they'll be more popular and do more business if they don't probe your rear.
mhambi,my PSA was excellent and she still insisted on a digital inspection. Good luck on your exam.tom.:embarassed:
I haven't had a DRE since 2000. Doc uses PSA plus my peeing flow reports. If something proves worrisome, then I am sure a DRE is appropriate.

sounds like some people like a little fingering action???
This is a good reason to pick your doctor by finger size.
I told my doc to do me a favor and tell my wife my head is not up there. He said you know she's not going to believe me.
