So I was against iwb/aiwb holster for as long as I’ve been carrying however a cousin who also carries challenged me to carry an appendix holster of his, which is an Tier1 Axis Elite along with a firearm if his, a Glock 17 to see if I would change my mind. Well today will make Day 6 of me carrying and I’ve changed my mind and I decided that I too will start carrying appendix and I will also be purchasing an Tier 1 Axis Elite. However I don’t know weather to choose light bearing or non-light bearing. For your info it will be for a full-size P320, any suggestions on carry with a light or not? One thing is that I’m usually in the house by 8pm.

Nope...no way would I be stuffing anything down my shorts that somebody else has already stuffed down theirs. My boys don't know your boys and I don't want them to.

I can assure you it was cleaned and sanitized prior, I myself knew better than to just shove it in my pants right off the bat. Also the G17 is his least favorite firearm to carry that’s why he let me use it. His main carry is the G20. However I can see your point.

Check out T-Rex Arms for an appendix carry holster.

I’ll check them out too, but I’m pretty set on the Tier 1, but like I said I’ll check them out.

Hey man as the saying goes to each their own, like I told him it was cleaned and sanitized before hand and even if it wasn’t I know my cousin wouldn’t do something to legitimately cause harm to me in anyway, he’s like my brother grew up in the same home basically.

Get the same kind you tried out. Adding a light could change the whole dynamics of appendix carry. You may not be happy with that change.

Well, I was about to suggest a cousin of the opposite sex but you blew that. Glad you are following good COVID-19 protocol.

I got the same one I tried, decided that I don’t need the light on it. I’ll either sell the light or just keep it as a spare.

It’s not just Covid-19 protocol, it’s common sense.

OP, thanks for the write up and ur opinion.

I had the same mindset for years, always preferred OWB @430. Then switched about a year ago to IWB @430. Bought A couple Alien Gear shape shifts and just recently bought 2 Bladetechs.that I configured to IWB.

Just found out I’ve got some shoulder issues recently and decided I might want to switch to Apendix. Well after a lil reconfiguration both would work but the Bladetech just digs in too much to your groin while sitting, carrying a G19, and the Alien Gear is a heck of a lot more comfortable because of the padding but not crazy about it cause it’s not a fully enclosed design and no retention if you need to drop trousers for a pit stop..

So how comfortable is the Teir 1, mainly while sitting and are you using the shims to push the grip inward to keep from printing? I’m on the thin side at 6’1” and 170lbs.

Think the other big plus to apendix i think is if you ever needed it inside your vehicle, buckled in at 430, really not that assessable.

It’s comfortable, the mag is connected via cord which makes the holster curve around. The weapon side has a concealment claw and the mag side has concealment ridges which pushes on the belt. You can also order a pack of wedges for the back of the holster which come in small, medium, large, and extra large. I included a pic so you can reference the holster. Only downside it’s a 20-25 business day lead time but to me it’s worth the wait.

Yup , I’ve been looking at them. Just curious how comfortable it was while sitting.

I was comfortable sitting, even had it on while driving.
