Okay, keyboard ninjas, bring it on. I found an exceptional deal on a G26. I was looking for a car gun that wouldn't cost me an arm and leg to replace. I found this and was surprised at how comfortable it was. It has had a professional grip reduction, a thumb safety installed and some a DuraCoat. Anyway, the tab on the thumb safety stuck out too far so I reduced it by half. Took it to the range yesterday and the pistol performed just like a Glock should and the thumb safety worked well too. Not too sure if I will keep the pistol, I am somewhat of a purist but it is interesting addition for those that feel they need the extra safety feature.

Picture of the safety in the "up" or "on" position.

In the "off" position. (I fire it with my thumb riding on top as with a 1911)

I just can't bring myself to add this safety to any of my GLOCKs. Maybe if I knew someone close to me who had this done I would shoot the hell out of it and see if it was worth it. But anyways...your G26 looks EFFIN amazing sir...

^^^I agree. The only reason why I own a Glock is because it doesn't have any external safeties.

Your 26 does look marvelous. If you don't want it I will give it a home. How does the safety work in function? I personally think it is a great idea if Glock would make models with safeties too.

Glad you like your purchase. What, exactly, is a "car gun"? Do you wear a different gun when you are in your car?

When someone tells me a Glock does not have a safety therefore needs one,
I know they know nothing about Glocks.

When they know about Glock safeties but thinks a Glock needs yet another safety,
I know they are lacking in their own abilities and self-confidence.

Did you know the owner? Which was it?

Very interesting. I'm not sure I would do that to my 26 but to each their own.

Great to have this kind of option available to the glock. I don't think I would put it on mine, but I can see how it would suit others.
