MOST species of spiders are beneficial to humans, by eating large numbers of harmful insects.

I generally leave spiders in my home alone, as I figure they are eating other insects.

But, large, fast moving spiders to tend to get smooshed fairly quickly.

Since individuals cannot own flamethrowers in Australia, I say nuke it from orbit, its the only way to be sure.
