What's the concensus about the performance center S&W 1911's? Are they a good bang for their buck or are they overpriced? How's the quality compared to others in their price range and how's the value?

I haven't seen much posted about them so I thought I would ask here before I went and looked at one last week.

    Thanks Guys.

I have a 1911pd that has been great,no issues , I've used 6 different mags, still 100%.I know its not a performance center gun but I wouldn't imagine a performance center pistol would be any different.

They're definitely worth the money, in my opinion. :)

I've got a couple thousand rounds through mine. Not one hiccup. Probably my favorite carry pistol these days.

    Thanks!

Well, Paul Liebenberg started the Performance Center and uses the EE on his custom guns these days.

I will agree that from a production 1911 standpoint, S&W has the best external extractor. :)
