    Maybe, perhaps why degrees are required to be an officer and generally only officers fly....and Warrants Army. I think we generally perform how we train and civilians are not going to get the training we get in the military. But experience over time, with quality training, is certainly an asset. Other than military and military contract flying, I flew with a regional and two 135 operators. One was a bottom feeder and one was NetJets. The pilots at NetJets, that I flew with, were 95% civilian only and almost all were absolutely excellent.
