    Sorry for the cross post-Just wanted to get as many eyes across this as possible:

    I had a squib load last Saturday which lodged the bullet almost exactly halfway down the barrel. No amount of pounding with an aluminum rod and hammer would move it, so a gunsmith had to drill it out. Here's my question: In the aftermath of the bullet removal, there are some scratches in the bore and I would like to know if anyone here knows what impact they could have on the accuracy of the gun.

    it is my understanding that the last part of the bbl has the impact on the gun's accuracy. Give it a try and see. Depending on how sever the scratches are you might be able to polish them down with shooting.
