I believe today marks the first time (more or less) this is now the #1 cause of death in the U.S.

    Just the flu.

Boy Scout Motto: "Be prepared." IBM slogan: "Think"

It is not "religion". It is human nature at work. People don't want to think. They want other people to think for them. They want to conform. The leaders they usually chose are more interested in gaining and exercising power than in helping their followers. Bob Hope expressed it humorously:

    YOU CAN'T FIX STUPID!!!!!

Late yesterday afternoon I went to the pharmacy and our local Price Saver grocery store.

Our local pharmacy is great, they dispence thru the drive-thru only, cashier wears gloves and mask, our CC is on file, I'm wearing a mask, set paper bag on plastic on passenger seat for decon. later, use hand sanitiser before touching anything in car. All is good, proceed to store.

Maybe 15 cars in parking lot, use wipes to sanitize the basket, cashiers are all wearing gloves and masks, arrows on the floor of the isles denoting one way traffic, all is good.

And then things devolved into insanity. Keep in mind that I live in a town of 5500 along I35, 30 miles south of Oklahoma City and 40 miles North of Winnewood, the home town of Joe Exotic of Tiger World fame.

Several shoppers aren't wearing masks, I kept my distance, but how in the world do people justify taking small children shopping in this atmosphere. The first encounter was an early 20's couple shopping with a young (2 yo) in the basket going the wrong direction down the isle who became indignent when I told him to turn around and go the right way. The second encounter was a young lady with a 3 yo in the basket, no masks, little boy trying to touch everything he could and then immediately placing his hands in his mouth.

I'm sixty-seven 6' 5"/300# and armed with a G23 behind my left hip. There was a point there that I felt like the actions of other shoppers might actually become an assault on my well being.

Thank God I didn't encounter one of the idiots purposely coughing on the produce.

Democrats are a minority in OK, so I mark it down to just being stupid.

Some of these idiots need to be removed from the gene pool, unfortunatly the "young and dumb" seem to have immunity.

Skin protects us more than we think.

I can't speak for all machines, but my ResMed has a small filter over the intake port, not sure if it is a Hepa, however the excess pressure vents out of the 90 degree inlet quick connect going into the mask and I am sure my exhale also vents.

For this reason my wife has been sleeping in the guest bedroom for a few weeks, just in case.

OK, sorry, I confused nitric oxide with nitrous oxide, was about to go across the road to steal my buddies bottle from his race car.

I mean really, the thought of being able to use "laughing gas" as a treatment made me think if it did't work at least you would be happy.

Is this what they refer to as a "Happy Ending"?

Sorry, it's late and I'm wondering what size nozzle to hook into my CPAP:cheers:

If you do decide to use "soup" I suggest split pea or tomato, as chicken noodle might chaffe your skin.

You can't get here from there!
It's more your eyes, nose, and mouth where the virus is likely to gain entry.
