Smokey and the Bandit would be a good lockdown movie choice.

100% of the people who need to go on a ventilator and don't, die.

I went to my local Post Office to check my P.O. Box.

I picked up some Social Security and USPS retirement paperwork (USPS Blue Book) as I will be retiring at the end of June.

I decided to stop and do some shopping at a grocery in a nearby small town.

The shelves were being constantly replenished with some purchase limits.

I was able to purchase everything I needed. They even had TP and paper towels, although I didn’t need or purchase those items.

Here in Oklahoma we have approximately 1,300 cases pf the virus and just a little over 40 fatalities. Since we are a somewhat sparsely populated state, other than major metropolitan areas like Tulsa and OKC, it is my hope that the situation will be mitigated.

BTW, almost all of the fatalities were 65 and older.

I am very interested in the demographics of the fatalities. We in Oklahoma have a very large Indian (Native) population. Unfortunately, many of them suffer from obesity, hypertension and diabetes.

Uh, we are past that. Maybe Russ needs to clean this up again? You can't separate politics out of this.

You have expressed an interest in CPAP/BI-PAP in lieu of intubation in acute respiratory failure. Current recommendations are to try and avoid these modalities due to aerosolization of respiratory pathogens inherent to them. It is true that intubation and pre-intubation suction act similarly, however, once the patient’s ETT is connected, it’s a closed circuit with an inline HEPA filter, ending further airborne spread.

Similarly nebulizer treatments and “bagging” with a BVM are to be avoided if at all possible.

"Detroit rep says hydroxychloroquine, Trump helped save her life amid COVID-19 fight

    Paul Egan, Detroit Free Press Published 2:52 p.m. ET April 6, 2020 | Updated 6:01 p.m. ET April 6, 2020

LANSING – A Democratic state representative from Detroit is crediting hydroxychloroquine — and Republican President Donald Trump who touted the drug — for saving her in her battle with the coronavirus.

State Rep. Karen Whitsett, who learned Monday she has tested positive for COVID-19, said she started taking hydroxychloroquine on March 31, prescribed by her doctor, after both she and her husband sought treatment for a range of symptoms on March 18.

"It was less than two hours" before she started to feel relief, said Whitsett, who had experienced shortness of breath, swollen lymph nodes, and what felt like a sinus infection. She is still experiencing headaches, she said.

Whitsett said she was familiar with "the wonders" of hydroxychloroquine from an earlier bout with Lyme disease, but does not believe she would have thought to ask for it, or her doctor would have prescribed it, had Trump not been touting it as a possible treatment for COVID-19.

New daily deaths and new daily confirmed cases are staying pretty low and level. There's been no massive increase (ie doubling) that I've been expecting.

    That's really good news.

Is anyone keeping track in NYC if any illegal immigrants are bumping American citizens out of the needed ventilators?

I understand that he currently has the virus and is advocating digging temporary, dignified mass graves in NY City Parks.

The guy is a real tool - and a moron! He is in charge of the NY City Committee.

Does the same apply to 70% rubbing alcohol?

States that it is for distilled spirits only. Will it work on isopropyl alcohol?

How dare you sir. Illegals deserve ventilators too.

Is anyone keeping track of the true death numbers of WuFlu? If models are off, what is the likelihood that some deaths might be misclassified?
