I got an email from work. We are now going universal masking policy on our acute care campuses by using (fabric) mask as a precautionary. This will prevent each one of us for contaminating each other, surfaces around us such as keyboards , desk , computers etc.

We still have our PPE’s for going to any COVID19 (isolation rooms)

I always wanted to wear (regular mask) , since the US outbreak , even when I’m just scanning regular non Covid19 patients. I now feel more protected with this new policy. They still don’t require us to wear hair cover even in COVID19 patients. Fawk that! I ordered 100 disposable hair covers for $9 online!

I'm not cheering, I just think that many people from all walks of life will succumb to this plague.

This is potentially good news but South Korea also has yuge testing and their CFR is still way higher.

According to a German member here, @Onkel Walther , the Germans have been assigning cause of death to preexisting conditions instead of Covid19. They also aren't testing people that die before they are tested. I'm not sure how accurate this is, but it would explain the low death count despite the news coming out of Germany being grim.

Outdoor activity which is allowed with social distancing in most stay at home requests. Fire the ****ers involved. Unless it is an HOA then I understand the heavy handed attitude

Supposedly the Germans clarified this, they say they are in fact counting any death that was COVID-19 positive as a COVID-19 death. Who knows. I'm not sure I believe it, they were saying their serious cases were only 23 for weeks, never changing.

We need mass anti-body testing ASAP.

A guy who works at one of the local agencies for people with developmental disabilities went to Mardi Gras, despite being warned not to. He came back to work, complained of not feeling well for a couple days and is now diagnosed with the Chinese Virus and is in the hospital. 5 residents and 10 staff people are now quarantined and several are showing symptoms. What a ****ing moron.

My town has been encouraging folks to go outside and exercise. But they closed the basketball courts and playscapes because everyone showed up and just hung out in groups. And now there is a "no more than five" gathering rule.

Hiking & biking are still good. But I imagine that once enough people are out there and it is decided by the state or federal gov't. that the virus is truly airborne then outdoor exercise will be verboten and masks will be required if you leave your home.

Heat will kill most viruses but its not a point in time.

Wuflu needs what 1-2 minutes of heat to kill it of at least 170 degrees?

I have no Idea why they didn't cancel Mardi Gras to begin with. Well, I do have an idea, but I wonder if looking back, the money they got is worth the lives lost, and the amount of chaos it caused.
