Creative approaches to reduce the risks of spread from intubation. Makeshift plexi-glass hood and plastic drape.

I’m concerned a out this too, since I just started taking this drug back in January. I saw the article I think you are talking about but didn’t really understand it.

I’m Not Westexes but that just sounds like walking pneumonia and is most likely just a typical mild case. We have 1 reported case in my city. I work for Public Works and when our environmental people tested our waste water it came back positive for COVID19 in an area of the waste water System with no reported cases.

My wife, 37 had a nasty cough, mild fever and shortness of breath for a week about a week ago. Our daughter, 4, had the same but even milder. Just a runny nose and mild cough, no fever. Me, I’ve had pretty much no symptoms, I can tell my body has been fighting something off for the past week plus but no actual sick symptoms. Does this mean I’m immune to what they have? Does it mean I’m just not showing symptoms yet? Who knows, nor do we know what they’ve had, but whatever they had my mom, 59, has had it worse but still not serious. My mom went to get tested but they wouldn’t test her. They just did a flu test which was negative.

Basically we don’t have any good science so keep calm and carry on. Changing their cardio meds isn’t worth the trade off, given our current evidence. Surely the reality of the matter is being seen on the ground. I’d imagine Losartin or Lisinopril either really help or really hurt. Have seen theoretical arguments for both sides. This is a case where I hope anecote is taken in by docs and we get some real evidence sooner than later.

If it could cause SARS-II to have a feeding frenzy on you lung, renal, and cardiac tissue... If that was even a remote possibility from in vitro evidence... I’d personally want that knowledge as a patient. Would try to get my doc to try a different class of drug and titrate down from the ACE II inhibitor. All while diligently monitoring BP.

Caveat Emptor, I’m a blue cartoon from the internet with more questions than answers.

A while back they changed the information on that. Virological.org has all the sequences. I don’t recall what the names of the main strains are.

I’ve been hearing about a few patients with atypical symptoms. Most seem to present with cough, fever, muscle aches, and sometimes loss of taste/smell, and abdominal issues.

Well two very good things happened today. First I got my new little Cruisinart Deep Fryer, a day earlier, thanks Amazon. Second my city/community sent me a card with a Hot Line Number for those who are seniors, disabled etc. I'll give 'em a call tomorrow to see what's up. Sure could use some milk and cheese. I'm really trying to stay at home, I mean I already got away with goin' grocery shopping once almost two weeks and I'm ok but hey the enemy hates seniors and the enemy is invisible. So it's all image.jpeg

    image.jpeg image.jpeg

I'll be fine even if I don't get a special delivery, I won't get desperate for maybe a month, then it's "Rice Krispie Treats" and "Ensure". Keep da faith y'all GTers.

Stay tuned, B, but I think that’s the best recommendation out there. Funny (or not) I just ended up on it too.

Random note... it does look like we might have fewer cases and deaths than we did yesterday. 1 day does not a trend make but hopefully it proves to be a trend.
