Ok, that's what I thought, just wanted to clarify.

Yeah that's not sounding like a very good thing! I wonder how much they vary though and what is typical for a virus like this. Without context I'm not sure how what to think about this.

We should impose a travel ban against California, keep everyone in that sanctuary state from infecting America.

Okay. It’s all fixed now. Virological.org has the family tree posted for this virus. It’s getting quite impressive.

As appealing as that would be, and maybe we should do it on general principal, it's probably too late.

If this follows like Italy or south Korea we could have a thousand cases in a week or two.

This person is symptomatic so they've been contagious for 1-14 days spreading this around. Whoever they got it from is still out there spreading it. Any big sporting events in Vegas coming up?

Were one to have the ability to have a fly on the wall in multiple countries, multiple agencies, multiple governmental leaders' offices, and the offices of all the biased worldwide news organizations, can you imagine the real time, contemporary documentary that could be produced and broadcast? It wouldn't be a good idea to broadcast it real time, because many people couldn't handle the reality of the situation, and far more people would be watching the Kardashians, or MSNBC, anyway.

With the Super Bowl and Marti Gras just in our rearview mirror, we could see a significant increase in cases just related to those two crowd pleasers. Anybody know anyone that attended either one of these events?

We need to see what the sequencing of the Iran and Italy case viruses looks like.

I'm not liking any of these posts anymore. The mental exercise of what would happen here is now a real life exercise. If anybody reading this thread hasn't at least stocked up on extra food stuffs and altered their habits in public, now's the time.

Sure. The virus is mutating. The genetic sequences are changing. The variations have been minor until recently.

The latest changes are a bit more pronounced.

It would be really nice if Iran would provide samples of the virus they have to Gen Bank.

That 13% mortality rate is a bit high.

Super Bowl was 24 days ago, that's pushing the limit.

I’m sure Italy will supply samples of their virus. Iran? Very unlikely.

Are mutations always a bad thing? It is possible to mutate to a less deadly/ infectious form?
