In my state of Texas the reporting of Covid 19 cases is so screwed up it is almost useless. i am beginning to believe the only stat to pay a great deal of attention to is the number of cases in the hospital, I believe that is more reliable the the number of daily deaths because of what or who is listed as a covid fatality. i would listen to any of the more learned members thoughts.

I don't worry too much about WestTexas as he wears a P100 mask while out. That actually has some efficacy against aerosol borne viruses.

Yep, I’m still here. Doing more lurking than posting. I expect a surge in cases by October. November concerns me the most, and it’s not the virus.

I believe unrest may be heading our way around election time. We’ve been prepping for that possibility. Even North Central Texas may not be immune to what may be coming. Time will tell.

It certainly does. Easier to breathe with than a mask and 167 times better filtration than an N95.

Here’s an added benefit if you’re in a riot prone city. The 3M 7502 half mask respirator with a 2091 pancake filter works great for pepper spray or tear gas. Add a pair of goggles and you’re all set.

I’ve tested this combination with pepper spray in our “gas chamber.” Filters that have been in use for over a month withstood 4 minutes in a highly concentrated environment before breakthrough occurred.
Even then, the effects were mild. Just minor throat burning.

Almost 400 less new cases today but still had 1,271 new cases for a total of 55,226 cases in Kansas. 2,766 have been in hospitals with 735 in ICU's and 240 having been on ventilators. 2,008 have been discharged.

The hospital capacity remains decent. 93 patients are in ICU beds with 34% of the beds available. 27 patients on ventilators with 84% of the ventilators available. Currently 313 patients in various ICU's.

Male cases stand at 27,265 (49.4%) and female cases at 27,118 (49.1%) with 34 (1.5%) not reported.

Deaths continue upwards with 621 total. 361 (58.1%) male and 258 (41.4%) female and 2 (0.3%) not reported.

492,281 have been tested with 437,055 testing negative. the monthly testing rate per 100K is 2,460. the monthly percent positive is 7.4%. 44 counties now have over 100 cases that account for 52,639 cases. My county has had 22 cases with 20 recoveries. Rumor has it that we now have our first covid death. Nothing official from the county yet.

Our Quercetin and Bromelain 500mg/250mg for 2 capsules arrived yesterday and I put it on 6-week renewal/subscription to save more. We also take 50mg Zinc and 500-1,000 mg of vitamin C. This combo is supposed to be somewhat like the Hydroxychloroquine regimen helping the zinc get where it's needed and blocking the "spikes" that the CV uses to "dock" and pass the virus to cells for procreation. 500mg is good for prevention and higher for possible infections.

I too ordered that Quercetin/Bromelain capsule a while back. It is the only supplement I've found that did not agree with my stomach. Weird. I still take it but only 1 capsule about twice a week. Hopefully better than nothing.

Other than that, we have a full winter supply of Publix' version of Centrum Silver. And probably a whole year of 1000IU gel caps of vitamin D3. I take one of each of those daily. The multivitamin has a ton of minerals, including some zinc. That adds up to 2000 IU of D3. Along with eating a couple raw Brazil nuts for selenium, that rounds out my vitamins.

The statements about bypassing hand washing and masks is logically stupid. It is an embarrassment to a medical professional. Higher loading may be an indication of this? How about an indication they are not taking the precautions? Maybe it is an indication of participation in "peaceful protests" without masks and hand washing. What mutation causes one strain to be airborne and another not? What mutation allows it to bypass handwashing. Maybe that simple mutation doesn't have a lipid sheath? It is a crap article, and either the doctor is giving crap information, or it is very poorly written, or both.

Seriously, you can't believe much of anything that is passed as "news" anymore.

Well FL is going to next phase of reopening. Phase 3. Bars and restaurants have all capacity restrictions removed. Sports are free to do whatever they want crowd wise. I am not sure what else is still restricted at this point in FL.
