Not at all nor do I judge others that do or don't inject things into their bodies. At my age, health, and advice from my doctor, all I have taken recently is for Shingles.

I stopped the flu shots a couple years ago and I will absolutely, positively, will NOT get a COVID shot. Hell, no.

For some reason this did not post yesterday. :fist:

Well hell. Kansas cases numbers are not good today. A total of 2,000 cases over the last 2 days, as far as I can remember one of the highest totals. 52,285 cases overall for the state at this time. 2,671 have been in hospitals with 734 having been admitted to ICU's and 230 having been on ventilators. 1,950 have been discharged.

Male cases stand at 25,921 (49.6%) and female cases at 25,557 (48.9%) and not reported 807 (1.5%).

    596 deaths, 345 (57.9%) male and 249 (41.8%) female and 2 (0.3%) not reported.

474,749 have been tested with 422,464 testing negative. The monthly testing rate per 100K is 1,871. The monthly percent positive is 7.5%. The rate for the 16th was 7.7%, that's down 0.2% but I don't see where the drop comes from since we have larger cases today.

2 more counties broke 100 cases, that's 40 counties now and they account for 49,530 cases. Johnson county which is part of the Kansas City, Kansas area has had over 10K cases total. My little county has currently 21 cases total and 19 have recovered.

I listened to the radio about Wuhan flu deaths in Los Angeles County. This assumes what was counted was accurate. Slightly over 6,000 dead. 95% had serious underlying medical conditions. This assumes that every person who did not have a serious underlying medical condition a. did not avoid doctors or hospitals and did not practice holistic medicine exclusively; and b. they did not have what is generally called a silent killer - sudden heart attack due to diagnosed medical condition.

I remember Jim Fixx, a strong advocate of running who died of an undiagnosed heart condition long before most forum members were out of diapers. I am just reporting the available information.

It would take a courageous politician (this excludes the governor and the local mayor) to lay out the facts and ask people did they want to continue to punish themselves with a lockdown of business. And, the courageous politician would point out that nothing, absolutely nothing, has been done to protect the seriously ill or that there is no effective way of doing it.

Looks like you state is on an upswing. FL been about the same for a while even though we are adding stuff back. Opened bars a week ago, schools 2-5 weeks ago pending county, colleges back up and running. We have some max occupancy limits but everything is open that wants to be open. We are 2-3k cases a day under 5% positive and hospitalizations on a long downward trend.

Now Sweden is good again? From the article:

"The relatively low-key strategy (of Sweden) captured the world's attention, but at the same time it coincided with a per capita death rate that was much higher than in other Nordic countries.

Now, as infection numbers surge again in much of Europe, the country of 10 million people has some of the lowest numbers of new coronavirus cases -- and only 14 virus patients in intensive care."

Even the World Health Organization admits they are doing well:

" “We must recognize that Sweden, at the moment, has avoided the increase that has been seen in some of the other countries in western Europe,” WHO Europe’s senior emergency officer, Catherine Smallwood, said Thursday. “I think there are lessons for that. We will be very keen on working and hearing more from the Swedish approach.” "

Funny. I heard this morning the market was down because the UK was considering another lockdown.

I see. Video title was deceiving at first glance. I’ll pass on the video. Still can’t figure why so many here hold his opinion in such high regard. Respectfully.

For me at least is that he has the habit of putting information out that you can go to the website and read the information for yourself. There have been a few times that he has admitted the the research information he presented was wrong, at least he tells you he was wrong. I think he has been right about this bug way more than many .gov agencies, US and UK. He was also among the first people to sound the alarm about Covid, too bad the .govs weren't listening.

He definitely has an angle with a particular perspective and I understand that many may not share his assumptions or his conclusions, but one thing I appreciate is that he is very good at explaining/teaching and summarizes many technical papers that are being released that I otherwise wouldn't know about. And, as flyover said, he provides the links so you can check it for yourself.

With 200,000,000 dead I would imagine we have lost a bunch of posters here. I know I'm ok. Haven't seen Westtexas for a bit.
