I don't know if its the snow, or the fact that everyone on the east coast is stuck inside, but I have almost ZERO connection, even the 3g on my phone is having issues. UGH.

My ATT has been dropping calls since the snow last weekend. If a tower near you is down and there is no portable generator on it then I could see you having a problem. Is it pretty bad at your place? We were without power for two days...that was no fun at all...froze my butt even smaller.:rofl:Stay warm and cozy. This weather is not good on electronics at all.

GOOD GRIEF!!! It took me this long to reload this page. We have a lot of snow, probably around 4 feet, than lots of drifting. They've suspend plow operations until the blizzard conditions end.

So, the only moderator currently on GT has a really bad connection?

I think the inmates are about to take over this place. :pepper:

Ok, ok, we'll still play nice.

yeah, maybe I shouldn't have said anything. This is the pits. Being snowed in is fine, being snowed in without good internet is BAD. :faint:

We had some flurries this morning. Not quite enough to accumulate on the ground, but I still feel your pain. BTW, I did a speed test. Is 11.4Mb/s one way, and .75Mb/s the other a good connection? I don't even really know what that means.

I agree. It sounds like you have grown tired of the snow. I am clearly tired of it. Stay safe and warm. I would try rebooting and see if that helps.

rebooting the router helped slightly, but not enough to make a huge difference. I'm not sick of the snow so much as running out of things to keep the kids occupied!

They found out your neighbours didn't have an internet connection at all so they gave part of your bandwidth to the less fortunate :)

That second part is the worst part. Hopefully they can stay calm. Try turning off the power to the router for 15 seconds and seeing if that helps any more.

Can't imagine what's going on with your connection, Mrs. VR...We got a fair amount of snow here in the D.C. 'burbs, but my cable broadband connection has been -- knocking on wood -- good.

Maybe you should think about crackin' the whip on those hamsters...? :innocent:

Is your router and your modem "Bridged"? Google how to do it with your make/model of both. Speeds things up.
