Took this tonight at dusk. We were shooting Brown Bear .223.
But you have to admit, it sure is pretty when it's caught on film!
Sure wish I could go outside to shoot only needing a hooded sweatshirt. lol. I need a warm hat, heavy coat, gloves, big cup of coffee...
Wow, dramatic photo !
Invisible safety glasses?
real men dont need safety glasses ..
and do you have the needed pic of a comprable gun with a brake on it ?
there aint that much difference ..
Time to roast marshmallows.
Don't have any guns with brakes. I did try to see if we could get a flash from my 14.5" AR15 with A2X flash hider. We couldn't see a thing.
As for safety glasses, usually wear sunglasses. Then it got dark, took them off. That is not me. It's my little brother. I was the only one there with regular safety glasses. I should have let him borrow mine but I didn't think of it at the time.
Safety contact lenses.
usually the brakes on guns put out a hell of a flame trail through each port ..
the best things to see a fire ball on are muzzle braked big bore handguns i think ..
something like a 500 with a multi port brake ..
Your ammo/brand/powder makes a difference in the flash also.
It sure is a nice picture.
While Im guilty of seldom wearing safety glasses people do loose eyes.
Funny story...or its funney to me at least. I was the only person that would wear safety glasses at my old funeral job. We had an autopsy case and werent getting the embalming fluid to flow properly. My co-worker grabbed the middle of the Y incision and pulled it up to look inside and blood mixed with embalming fluid shot straight into his eyes. I laughed at him as he blindly made his way to the sink.
That flash looks HOT!
We don't need no stinkin' flash hiders!!!
i had an "incident" happen when i was very young .. i didnt like wearing safety glasses.. so one day shooting my 1022 i had a piece of brass or something shoot out of the chamber and tap me on the forehead,
ever sense then i wear them almost 24/7 ..
