Something very wrong with that poor guy. While it is funny, I wonder if it may be a symptom of a much larger problem.

Seen that one before. If the owners were trying to take the bone away, that dog shoulda got whooped.

That is one of the things I taught my parents dogs when they were young. You could give them a piece of meat, they would try to protect it and growl. They got a little tap on the nose with the fingertips until you could take anything away from them you wanted without getting bit. We also taught them to take treats respectfully. They very gently and slowly take treats from your hand. We can even hang a treat out of our mouth and they will take it gently. Some dogs with just snap a treat out of your hand with no regard for your fingers.

I used to "share" soft ice cream cones with my Pooch. Once the ice cream was eaten down to the top of the cone, He knew who the rest belonged to. He would "growl" at me if I acted like I was going to take a bite. He was a smart Pooch!

See the pic in my avatar, that's my dog growling because my brother is acting like he wants the food that his wife is eating. He puts his hand on her head and says, can I have some of that, just a little? And she shows her teeth like that. We always get a good laugh from it.
