    Yes!
    If everyone just carried guns!
    That is the answer.
    Everyone is strapped.
If somebody doesn’t have one, say at a movie theatre we hand out a gun to them.
It is so brilliant when people come up with the solution of conceal carry.

Dammit, why didn’t I think of that. If everyone just had a gun. Brilliant!!!!!

Maybe I was not clear enough.

The solution is to NOT be a soft target.

In this case, we had a guy with the means, some degree of training and the inclination to not be a victim.

So your argument is the same tired trope of how expanding concealed carry is going to cause the return of the Wild West? Blood in the streets? Shootouts over fender benders?

Funny how that wholesale slaughter didn't happen isn't it?

To paraphrase, the 90s called and they'd like their anti gun argument back.

" That’s when they say the customer “perceived a lethal threat” and pulled out his gun and shot the suspects. "

That should be his story AND HE SHOULD STICK TO IT.

Good on him! One less dindonuffin to worry about. The story will probably come out that he just needed bus fare to get to choir practice, or something.

"Police said that when they got to the gas station, they found 16-year-old Qwanterrius Stafford inside with a gunshot wound. He was taken to Atrium Health Carolina's Medical Center, where he died."

Wow. What a name for a white boy !!

Any relationship to Stephanie Stafford (Stormie Daniels) ?

I think the moral of the story went well above your bow, but hey..

We have been trying it your way (disarmed populace) for generations and it’s doesn’t work for poop. Google the definition of insanity and see what Freud had to say.

It’s INSANE to think government can protect you; yet we sold that bill of goods.

It’s INSANE to think that not punishing criminals will reduce crime; yet we sold that bill of goods.

It’s INSANE to further hinder law abiding folks from protecting themselves; yet we a pushing that sale hard core.

I don’t believe that everyone should carry. God knows I’ve met some folks who shouldn’t be around safety scissors much less guns. However, every law abiding person should have the right to make that choice. Same as every law abiding person should have the right to vote. And believe me there are billions dead as a consequence of idiotic voting patterns. Just look at Venezuela as an example. Imo voting is a far more dangerous right than gun ownership; yet we aren’t suggesting limits on that right. So then why do we need to limit and mock the 2A.

I'm all for more people carrying but let's be realistic here, your Kel-Tec P32 isn't gonna do much to a guy wearing a plate carrier and carrying an AK. Your average CCWer also doesn't do a lot of training with their gun so don't give me that "just aim for the head" non-sense.

CCW is a great deterrent to crime like robbery and car jacking but unless you are concealing an AR pistol, it's not going to go real far against an adversary that is prepared to take on the cops in a shootout.

Sucks for the family but I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that they weren't super involved with their armed robbing 16 year old son.

That is exactly the argument used when CcW became Legal in Florida. Also the same argument that has kept us from getting OC,

With all due respect, no one is saying that CCW will save the day in every circumstance.

But since the beginning of firearms based conflict, changing your adversaries perspective from unfettered shooting to "the two way range " is a game changer. That is being realistic, and so is the understanding that if you choose to engage, you may die, regardless of weapons.

El Paso goof surrendered when confronted. So have others. There is no panacea imo, but a chance is better than no chance. Unarmed means ALL choices are the assailants.

I remember the radio was saying"the gun shine state...every parking disagreement will result in numerous deaths... Blood running in street.... Biggest gun goes first in line..."
None of it was true. Same lies every time.

Logical fallacy of asserting that there are only 2 possible options--arm everyone, or disarm everyone.

The REAL correct answer is to allow as many law-abiding adult citizens to be armed as possible IF THEY CHOOSE to exercise that Constitutional right.

And the reason you didn't think of it might be that you're not as educated on the issue as John Lott is. So he reached the conclusion years ago, based on actual data.
