I'm about to buy one. Any last minute tips?
I need it mostly as a desktop replacement, but need to haul it to 3 different places (mostly by truck). I need to read and burn CD's, and be able to watch DVD movies.
I need wireleass internet, powerpoint, wordperfect.
M at 1.6, 15 inch, 512 mb enough? What to look for in FSB?

The ThinkPad is one of the very best notebooks made today. It has been rated very high by consumer reports. My M @ 1.4 does everything fine, so 1.6 is great. Sounds like enough RAM. FSB 400Mhz is fine.

    Very reliable notebook.

I have bought thousands of ThinkPads over the last 10 years. Nothing compares.

You have made a great choice.

IF you have to have it serviced, they are great. They will have FedEx drop off a prepaid shipping box the next day and will return the machine in 2 days. I have not had to use it many times, but it is great.

Buy the extended warranty. You'll be glad you did 2-3 years from now when something goes wrong.
