    From MSN, citing the Guardian:

Natsos never let a situation like this go to waste. Who, exactly, is the "they" to which he refers? Is it the NRA's fault? Is it gun owners' fault? Why not blame social media?

I am disgusted that hardcore leftwing Socialists use tragedies like this to advance their agenda. Not surprised. Disgusted. People who use murders like this to push gun control ought to be ashamed, but, hey, whatever it takes, right? Shame on them.

His daughter is not even buried and here he is working to ensure that others can not protect themselves.

The poor father is acting out of grief, while the anti-crowd takes advantage of his state of mind.

I wonder if the problem here is that bastard killed himself, leaving no actual accommodations for justice. Therefore the unintelligent look for another avenue to lay the blame on and seek justice?

Whatever their reasons for seeing more gun control as an answer - They are freaky idiots, and it pisses me off to practically no end.

He should have gotten her a gun and taught her how to use it..... or gotten someone to teach her how to use it.

Its not gun owners fault that a crazy guy shoots someone who chooses to go unarmed.

Hard to fault the father. I'm not sure how I would react if some nutjob shot my daughter. I will cut him some slack despite the fact that I think he is being exploited by the antis.

Since the scumbag shooter acquired the gun LEGALLY, what do they want? Change the law? The law was followed. Improve mental health for the folks who NEED it. But that ain't as sexy as "gun control" <ooooooooooooo - scary!> They don't care (excepting the father) they just wanna gin up votes. A-hole politicians.

May be that the antis are coaching him, hard to say from what I know. But if the obviously mentally deranged killer did have legal possession of the handgun then there was a problem somewhere. They should seek-out where the problem occurred..... someone is responsible for the mistake.

It's pathetic on so many levels.
You have the gun control zealots taking advantage of people in the throes of a terrible emotional loss.
Then the reach for this narrative that each violent incident involving some nutjob...largely motivated by the media exposure- to march out the 2nd or 4th amendment to the chopping block so people can feel some hollow validation instead of facing reality on any level.
The fact that the focus shifts to guns instead of the usual suspects in the media or violent communities being forced to confront their own HUGE complicity in the racially motivated killing including the recent murder of the LEO in Texas. That's ****ed.

This whole story is about control. Nothing more, nothing less.

"They" are the people that do what the "other people" don't do. Since these "other people" don't do it (whatever it is that "they" do) these "other people" want them to stop or to get a law against them doing it.

It makes no difference what is being done. The significant point is that "other people" don't do, nor like it being done by anyone, and believe they have to put a stop to it.

“We live in oppressive times. We have, as a nation, become our own thought police; but instead of calling the process by which we limit our expression of dissent and wonder "censorship", we call it "concern for commercial viability" - David Mamet

The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie, deliberate, contrived and dishonest, but the myth, persistent, persuasive and unrealistic.John F. Kennedy

It is certain, in any case, that ignorance, allied with power, is the most ferocious enemy justice can have.James A. Baldwin

Our souls may lose their peace and even disturb other people's, if we are always criticizing trivial actions - which often are not real defects at all, but we construe them wrongly through our ignorance of their motives.Saint Teresa of Avila

I have said it before because I believe it, you can not legislate evil from the hearts and minds of evil doers. Applies in this case and the case of the Deputy in Texas, Chris Kyle, a skilled operator. None had a chance to defend themselves and 2 of these 3 were armed, trained and skilled.

The measures I have heard discussed are 100% background checks on sales (which the Left likes to miscategorize as the "gunshow loophole"), a type of temporary restraining order baring gun ownership for people deemed dangerous, and "smart gun" (read "trackable", traceable, electronically fingerprinted) technology.

Of course, one has to respect the US Constitution before one worries about it's violation.

.” Wait. What? Who is they of which Mr. Parker speaks? The man responsible for his daughter’s life is dead. As far as we know, he wasn’t part of a criminal conspiracy. And the aggressors are: “NRA supporters and lawmakers who voted against passing stricter gun laws.” As you know doubt know, Alison’s killer passed a background check when he purchased his firearm. He had not been adjudicated mentally incompetent or committed to a mental institution. So what gun control law could have saved his daughter? Parker said . . .

I find it ironic that he would seem to want anyone who has ever been even slightly mentally unbalanced, like the shooter with his temper and persecution complex, to be denied from owning guns....

While at the same time HE, someone going through grief over the loss of a loved one, and naturally not in the best frame of mind, is saying he's going to buy a gun! :whistling:

I possess virtually no sympathy for this man, or his family, I'm sorry for his personal loss, but as far as anything else is concerned I really feel nothing! Look, these were national democratic socialist media operatives, all educated at far leftist universities and judging by this fathers predictable socialist raging, they were a significant part of the problem, or very definitely on their way to being so, there is no possible way I am alone in this!
