Big write up in our paper. Guys with computer guided infrared,
    high tech night scopes.
Looks like fun, I don't consider it "hunting" though.
You drive out in a warm truck, spot 50 stupid pigs with night vision,
you can see them, they have no chance of spotting you, and you blast
    away.
Next up, we will be able to buy drones that fly over stocked fields and you can work a joystick from your living room to do the killing.
Again, probably a blast, not really hunting like I grew up with.
Hunting to me means a semi equal chance for the stalker and the stalked.

I don't care how "sporting" it is. Kill'em all! They breed like rabbits and destroy everything in their path. They're all over our lease and are a big problem statewide. The game and fish lets you kill them 24/7/365 with no limit and even is fine for you to leave them lay right where they are shot.

Fun, I like the comment to the guy that said something about a video game.

"These comments were clean until you blab about a video game."

:rofl:I agree with him, kids who only play video games should shut up.

It's not hunting, it's pest control. Hopefully some of the meat makes it's way to a local food bank.

Agreed, that was my point. It's not really hunting. I have no problem wiping the dirty btsrds out, they do nothing but destroy everything.

    I like it.

As far as calling it hunting, it is interesting. Is sitting in a tree stand or ground stand for multiple days hunting? Is letting dogs chase around an animal until you get a shot at it hunting. Is sitting somewhere and taking a REALLY REALLY long shot hunting? What if I setup a remotely trigged gun, where I can sit in one country and kill something half way around the world?

I've seen this before - it does look like fun. I was thinking of this recently because I've had this itch to take a road trip down south looking for hogs to shoot. If any of you guys need some help eradicating these things let me know - I might find it in my heart to help you out this summer if I can make the time.

We hunt them with dogs and knives here. Now when the prey can easily get aloose from the catch dog and gore you...and you have to look at its beady eyes and knowing in its mind all it wants to do is tear into you. Now thats a hunt.
