My wife loves Bennies, seasonal mocha stout. It was just released last week for the year. I made prime fillets, lobster tail, asparagus with prosciutto and Parmigiano-Reggiano..with a chardonnay, lemon, garlic, and red peppercorn sauce. The tails and steaks were basted with a combination of peppercorns, butter, shallots, wine, garlic, thyme, chives, and tarragon.
The cake was a Bennies mocha stout cake with peanut butter buttercream and grated organic semisweet chocolate.
I pulled the stops I knew how to pull...when my baby handed me the bottle of blantons, it was a perfect wind down nip.
I hope y’all get diarrhea, ha!!!!!
We got leftover meatloaf.
2 eggs, lunch meat and English muffin! Plus some chips ahoy.
Chicken Cordon Bleu. Twice baked potatoes. Red velvet cake.
Yesterday I oven baked 6 lbs. of thick sliced Bacon! If that doesn't say, I love you, nothing will!
On a serious side, my wife thanked me for doing it. She said now I don't have to think about what to make for a meal.
We both like Bacon............
BF took me to The Shack seafood restaurant. I had fried softshell crabs, they were delish.
Mrs N spent the day working at a volunteer organization. I opened a bag of pre mixed salad, baked some chicken tenders to cut up on top. I also unwrapped a pre made strawberry cheesecake for dessert. We ate it when she got home while watching the last episode of season 4 "house of cards".
Can't say I'm not a gourmet.
My wife made some vegetarian lasagna . My 7yo son doesn’t like to eat meat unless it’s breaded and fried or chicken wings. For some reason she’s decided we need to start catering to him.
Me and my wife had pizza, took her and my son to my grandmother's and brought dinner. Her first Valentine's in 62 years being without her valentine, figured my son would brighten her day which it did.
We went to a small pizzeria, had a nice cracker thin crust, wood fired pizza. She had a glass of Chardonnay and I had some Rhinegeist Ink, bourbon barreled imperial stout.
I made 2 nice 10-12oz. fillets, and baked potatoes.
Mrs Ross said they were the best she has ever had. It was the first time I did them in cast iron in the oven, so I guess they were pretty good for the first attempt.
My family requested Swedish meatballs so that's what I made.
We went to our Valentine's Day restaurant for the 3 year - it helps it's close to the house - the Boathouse at Rockett's Landing. It's just east of town on the James.
We had roasted oysters and a brussel spout salad with candied cranberries, nuts, cheese, and a bunchostuff. She had grilled rockfish with crabmeat and I had a platter of broiled shrimp, ocean scallops and a crabcake.
