I have heard and read about how in some areas dealers can't give away 40 S&Ws. Well send em to me!!! I bought a G22 Gen 2 a couple days ago for $299 ( in very good shape ) because the store owner/manager was just tired of trying to sell it.

Well I couldn't turn it down, and it has become a little project.

    Cerakote job
    New/Upgraded springs and bar
    Mepro Tru Dot adjustables
    G31 barrel ( Thanks Para )
I may breakdown and pickup a 9mm conversion barrel too.

I pick it up from Cerakote on Sunday night. From there I wait on parts to arrive. Can't wait!!!

I think I'm gonna like the 40S&W give away era!!

You might want to check around on using the 357sig barrel. Glock told me not to use them in Gen 2's.

Depends on how many pins above the trigger. Two pins OK, 1 pin, no go.

The 40 is the cartridge that everyone loves to hate, thanks to the herd instinct.

I really like my Gen 3 Glock 22 LEO trade-in. Accurate as hell and I only paid $310 for it. Dang thing looks like brand new with just some very slight holster wear on the top. This has become the "golden age" for getting .40 S&W Glocks.

I double checked before I bought the barrel. Like Borg Warner said it’s a 3 pin. Should be fine. I believe the 40s were 3 pin in gen2 guns.

When you order one from them, they will ask you for the S/N.

It seems like there is always a new cartridge fad. It just gives the gun writers something to write about to sell another magazine.

I carried a 40sw since 1990 and started reloading for it soon after . I never did care if its not fashionable to carry or what someone else preferred . Really depending in handgun size and weight I might carry a 9mm , a 40 or a 45 .

I have four 40's, a couple thousand rounds of ammo, and reloading equipment for this caliber. I don't really see the need to sell them.

I wonder how long it will take to swing back the other way.
IMHO The 40cal is a great round. That is why my daily carry is a G-23. I have nothing against 9mm in fact I have several.
About a month ago I had open Heart Surgery, or 4X4 Bypass as I call it. For the time being I am restricted from going to the range. My Dr. knows nothing about Handguns, so I will have to talk to the Surgeon that did the work and ask him.
I plan to go to the range next Monday, and shoot 22 cal only.
What the heck it's better than nothing and I know that will not cause any problem. The recoil would be measured in ounces. As far as that goes the 22TCM would be ok too.
Lots of noise, and a ball of fire, but no recoil.
I will start to carry my G-19 next week.
I would rather have it on me and not need it, than not have it when needed.
The other choice would be my AA 22 Conversion. As good as it is, It just is not that good. it does not qualify as a self defense pistol. I would not have a problem with the 22 if it was more dependable.
So the G-19 will be on my hip. It is only slightly less recoil than my 40, but it is less.
I don't think my Dr. would like it, but it is my choice.
It might hurt to shoot it , but I can shoot very good from the Hip, and that would keep the recoil from my Chest.
At normal SD distance, I can put them where I want them.
