I just recently put my artistic skills to use for my mother for her birthday next month. She is always trying to get me to draw or paint something for her or someone in the family. Reluctantly I agreed, I have always enjoyed doing art work and I feel I'm pretty good at it. But I don't paint very often especially on a large scale because it takes soooooooo long to complete. Mainly because I am a perfectionist (as are most painters and artists). Anyways she convinced me to paint her a "Family Tree" to hang her family pictures on. She thought a tree on her wall would be cool with family pictures hanging from it. I had my doubts, but it's my mom, and it's her birthday. So long story short after 35 hours of work and touch ups, here is the tree I completed recently.

    What do you guys think???

I thought it turned out so well, I decided to do the tree on my wall with my family. Mine is not as wide, but is taller. Since we had two different walls.

Thanks guys, it is a neat way to spruce up boring family photos. Kinda makes it more unique and people tend to really look at the pictures closer.

Very cool. We had one (a tree, that is) painted in our nursery.

I think it looks very nice and was quite surprised when I saw the picture. I hate to say it but I was expecting something kinda cheesy. You did a very good job and any parent would love something like that.

Pretty sure you just tapped a local Niche Market for a few spare dollars if you are interested...

They look very nice - I like the first one best - but they are both very good looking, and I won't let my wife see these pics for a reason...

    Good Job!

Thats funny Patrick, I actually did post it as a service here on a local gun board. But just showing it here in case someone wants to do something similar to thier house to spruce it up.
