Beginning tomorrow, the Assembly Public Safety Committee will hear some of the first anti-gun bills. They are: AB-48 -- Magazine Ban and Ammunition Crackdown This broad sweeping magazine ban expansion would: *** Expand California's magazine ban by making you a CRIMINAL for possessing springs or plastic; *** Force ALL ammunition sales to be reported to the Department of Justice, and; *** RATION the amount of ammunition you would be allowed to buy without being reported to local law enforcement. AB-169 -- Pre-approved Gun Sales Only Act *** Expand California's private sales ban by outlawing your right to sell your handgun if it is not certified for sale on the state handgun registry, and; *** Outlaws your right to purchase a handgun that is not on the government's pre-approved list of handguns. AB-500 -- Firearms' Purgatory Act *** Allows the DOJ to arbitrarily expand the 10 day waiting period to 15 days, and; *** Creates a FIREARMS PURGATORY by requiring private sales be confiscated by FFL dealers and held away from the buyer AND seller during a waiting period. Under this bill if you try to sell your firearm privately and something goes wrong -- you may lose the sale and forfeit your gun. These are the first hearings in what is sure to be an entire season of attacks on California gun owners and liberty loving patriots. Also on the legislature's agenda: *** AB-47 -- Expansion of the so-called "assault weapons ban." *** AB-760 -- Ammunition tax. *** SB-108 -- "Lock up your safety bill", forcing you to box up and NEUTER all firearms stored inside your own home. *** SB-127 -- "Second Amendment Black List Act" -- stripping you of your rights based on mere "mental health" related accusations. *** SB-140 -- A mandatory background check TAX for the purpose of funding a GUN CONFISCATION program. This bill has already passed the Senate and is before the Assembly Appropriations Committee. *** SB-293 -- Expands the list of "unsafe" guns that the state won't allow to be sold. *** SB-299 -- Penalizes law abiding gun owners for being victims of theft. *** SB-363 -- Regulates lawful gun owners who live with anyone who may be not be allowed to possess a firearm. *** SB-374 -- GOVERNMENT REGISTRATION of all firearms. *** SB-396 -- Magazine ban and ammunition crackdown. *** SB-53 -- More ammunition regulations. *** SB-755 -- Repeals your Second Amendment rights for conviction of misdemeanors. They are scheduled to take up everything from, SB-127, a draconian "mental health" reporting scheme to SB-187, a bill to tax ammunition purchases, and even SB-299, which makes you a criminal if your gun is stolen, and you don't report it in 24 hours.
