I have been wanting to get this family photo for a while!!
This is the senior member (Granddad) - the Sigma 357Sig! Not very many of these were produced. I have never heard an authoritative statement on the exact number but (internet) rumor says maybe around 300:

Here is the full size M&P 357Sig(Dad) - it has no lock but the magazine safety and night sights:

And here is the M&P compact 357Sig (Son) - with manual thumb safety

The family photo with DoubleTap, Grizzly Cartridge Company and Underwood Ammunition included!

    Hi there.
Which has the most recoil or muzzle flip, the full sized M&P or the Compact?

I'm quite comfortable with the soft recoil of the Compact, but never shot
    a M&P357 before.

One might think the extra length of barrel and slide might make for more recoil.

I like Commanders over Government models because of this.

Funny thing.... I have never had them out together before. I guess I will have to do that... and shoot the same load to get a fair comparison. Things to do...things to do...

What are your carry and practice loads for each gun?

Does your SIGMA like the DT ammo?

As you might gather from other threads, I try a lot of different stuff!! My likes in practice ammo these days lean to Atlanta Arms & Ammo, Underwood Ammunition, Parabellum Research...of course Lawman is always good plus others.
Right now I am carrying Triton - 115g but since they don't make it anymore I think I will opt for LE Gold Dot or Ranger Bonded!!

My Sigma is not quite a wall hanger but gets shot very little. Although it looks pretty ergonomic, it is a slick little devil to hold on to with full power loads...just practice rounds for it on rare occasions...
