    Old news. Used to hear about that when I worked in Public Health. TB is fairly easy NOT to get.

    Good article. I do work in public health and I know that drug resistance with TB and other diseases is a BIG issue, especially with individuals who are low income, drug abusers, illegal immigrants, etc. who are hard to locate for epi purposes, and/or are difficult to maintain a drug regimen for the prescribed period to ensure drug resistance doesn't occur.

    And you are spot on about the nature of the difficulties.

    Nothing really surprising about stupid, illegal, illiterate, poor being stricken. Part of why we need some sort of better healthcare system.

    And a better immigration system.
