Was on tv the other day. Great movie, one of my favorites.

I didnt have time to watch but a small portion of the beginning.

The part where that general killed his son and torched his house.

He and his boys took all their guns and the tomahawk to cut them off in the forrest to rescue his oldest son.

    "Aim small, Miss small."

    Good movie.

That first engagement where he and his young sons rescued the older son Gabriel was, IMO, one of the best gunfight scenes ever. By "best", I mean "get the bad guy" satisfying.

If Mel would have stocked up on balls earlier, he wouldn't have had to resort to casting his own out of lead soldiers.

I watched it twice this week. I think I've seen it 8 or 9 times now.

He was getting revenge with his murdered sons toy soldiers.

    It was symbolic.

I thought the movie was a little silly, but overall I liked it. Wish I could find the Critics parody of it...is hilarious.

Forget him, there's always a few "torries" about.

IIRC, they were about 15 to 20 percent of the white population back then. For all the good it did them.
