Translation: what ex-military members think about 'civilians.'

How dare people who spend $5 on a cup of coffee want it actually made properly. Civilians "disgust" ex-military members.... or phrased another way.... ex military members are disgusted by civilians.

Translation: Never watched a close friend killed or wounded. Never took the life of another human being. Can not and will not get it.

While I never served, and I also dont "get it". I can absolutely stretch my small mind far enough to understand why a combat vet may have a completely different perspective on that silly $5 cup o' joe.

You don't seem to get it. Military members are not 'disgusted' by civilians. It's just that after having served in combat, priorities change, and the little things are no longer so important.

That's a charitable read. I see looming problems for America as the vets come home.

Whats the point of this article? Not enough "attention" is paid to vets? You mean with the thousands of monuments all across this country, the countless parades held in small towns all across this country, the two national holidays America celebrates, the millions of dollars spent by nonmilitary people on pro-military swag all across this country every year, the countless nonprofits that work to help soldiers, it's not "enough". Some people are anti-war, and especialy anti these two wars. Some people are anti-soldier. It's a free (well semi-free) country. I did not realize that the main motivation for todays generation to join the armed forces was for the accolades they will get later in life.

Good post. Everyone gets to decide for themselves what doing THEIR part to honor vets is. And I think, in historical perspective to my childhood in the 70's, we do a petty danged good job of it.

FWIW, I'm a .0001%'er. I'm a killer MC member who is filthy rich and served in Iraq and Afganistan. (No, not really - I just am tired with everyone pointing out 1%'ers LOL)

    I agree 100% with that.

I'll take care of the world I know and he can take care of his. He's a little angry that I'm unimpacted?

If he doesn't like the news stories being shown, he can start his own news network.

Honestly you don't get it. Never will. Don't bother worrying yourself about anything.

Your mind isn't so small as you may think. We do see things differently, thought not saying either way is 'right'.

That's not what the article/quote said, but you are pretty clearly not the type of person who would understand it.

Why? Is there something I said that is offensive or not correct?
