The old Firing Pin System Upgrade...

    Why did the extractor need upgrading? What did the upgrade change?

    To improve the function of the firing pin safety.

    Thanks Butch. I understood the genral reason for the upgrade, to improve firing pin safety. Specifically, what did changing the extractor do to help this safety?

    I guess I never got into it that far, but I expect it has to do with the safety's range of movement/clearance. Note the difference in the area around the circular mill cut on the extractor?

    That should be pretty good proof the internal parts don't have tenifer, or whatever. They look rusted.
