Trumps campaign just said they pushed back against the democrats attempt at the muzzling of free speech. Friggin believe me, they want to muzzle the rest of us if they could.

What I don't understand is why the Republicans have absolutely no say in who moderates. Been that way forever.

I realize the networks are all liberal, but the GOP should use the power of veto on some of these 'moderators.'

    Maybe I want too much.

I think Rona Barrett had the best and most simple idea to control this I have heard yet; "The moderator asks a question...until the candidate answers the question...no dodges, no spin...the moderator ceases the debate until the answer is given...easy peasy

Just having interned for Biden for two months 44 years ago wouldn't be that much of an issue, but he obviously has a current personal relationship. Hard to see how this could go well for Trump.

Cuz then they can disagree to it last minute like Biden's people did about the ear piece inspection. I mean, why not? Tell 'em to go F themselves.

Donald J. Trump has not been given a fair shake since before he was elected.
    Why start now.

They're gonna claim "we have to be fair to poor 'ol Joe cause the mean Donald is being a bully so we're just gonna tape the mute button down."

    It's gonna be a travesty.

I figure Donald can win a debate even if he is forced silent at times. Might even help him

No, they'd probably misquote or miscaption........Course if it was your captioner typing away, yeah, that's how it should be done

You know I've been thinking about this today. My belief is Trump knew about Bidens earphone and when he was interrupting Biden he knew Biden couldn't concentrate on the feed to his earphone and could confuse him. Chris Wallace also knew what Trump was doing and he kept after Trump to hush up so Biden could understand what backstage was telling him to say.

I firmly believe this is why Biden needs Trump muted from time to time in the next debate so he will be able to concentrate on the earphone.

Are they not standing a few feet apart from each other? The only thing a muted mic will do is keep those of us who are watching from hearing what was said.

    Grit and “underdog” persona?

Trump vs the world helped get him votes from people who simply liked the “underdog fighting through all odds” ... maybe? I don’t know.

But he sure does have it.
