Times are changing..............At a match soon, you will begin to see some exciting new colors and color combinations of accessories on Glocks. I believe that this will be new trend for Glocks. It's evident that I'm getting older because I lived through the error when 1911's were all blued and we used black Pachmyer grips. Then, the times changed...........and the 1911's and their accessories began to appear on the line in different colors and styles.

One of our Team Members, Grady Whitelaw, was the second member to use a "race gun" color scheme. Grady's Glock is silver and black. Jerry Worsham's blue Glock was the first Glock with a custom color to appear in competition.

    Lethal,
I love it!! That looks great. Actually, the cost of the coatings is less than blueing and plating. Our tests have shown that the durability is excellent.

Thanks for sharing with us. You are blazing the trail for the "next generation of Glock Handgunners"

    Have a great day,
    Bobby

The blue frame on "Blue" was Tom Costanza's brainchild. True I've run with it but the color and success of "Blue" were Tom's. I think "Blue's" going to get a new slide color, there's always room for change. :)

"You can grip the frame much easier!!"

    Bobby,

How grippy is it? Like sandpaper or the 3M syn rubber?

Asking as all own stuff is from the holster so has to be a medium btween grip and ability to adj. grip fast as necessary, etc.

    TIA

    SR

    Speedrock,
I would use my Glock from the holser, too. The friction is not like sandpaper but more like a porous feel to it. Grabbing the grip for drawing would be much easier with this texture because your hand won't slip but is easy to reposition if you have a bad draw like I do sometimes. :)

If I can offer anymore help, please let me know.

    Thanks,
    Bobby

WOW ...if I ever learn to shoot with open sights....the two (17L)that I have in the safe might have to be converted to an open gun. I am really impressed with the new colors and the NEW LOOK ...

How about black carver shirts now?

They're very tactical, much like camo/green/tan/brown glocks.

Tactical schmactical - my daughter who's tactical for real is the one that told me to keep my race gun black & black it shall be. However, the black Carver shirts would be interesting, very snappy and a great background for all the Carver logo colors. (I could just see some friends of ours in those at 2pm at Oakdale....don't worry guys, I keep extra bottled water in the cooler.)

All that aside, Bobby your gun is surely to be another of those "grip (the gun) and grin" affairs when people hook up with you in the safe area at a match. VERY nicely done, Sir!

    Wig,

I'll look forward to seeing you at a match soon. I want you to "grip and grin" the new finish. I think you'll agree that it's a great alternative to skate tape.

    Best regards..............."have fun shooting"
    Bobby

Bobby- I think you're going the wrong way with your colors- the NEW threat is not gonna come outa the "sand"...think urban gutter!
make your glock trashy- perhaps fusha with a tattoo?
Maybe hang a earing off the slide assist knob?
I DID notice- is that a new/different/old mount?
My Carvers lay almost on top of the slide lock...
    I bought a used Carver Hunter off a guy...It's BLACK.yeeech...
I got a place that will strip it and do it in PURPLE...or GREEN...
Maybe I should make it a 3 color????
I DID take my '38 with the Hunter on it to that BE shoot in Tenn...
It was windy- and I shoot OK in the wind- went 1768-37x with WWB 230 gr... Great Mount- Great gun!

    Hi Rikki,

You may have a good idea regarding the new colors.........I'll ponder on the thought.:) :)

The mount is our same model. We have recently began adding more holes to allow the base to slide fore or aft more. Thanks for the generous words. We think the Glocks Rock, too!!

Hope to see you at a match soon. Kentucky? I'll be there!!

    Have fun shooting!!
    Bobby

I guess I have to start impressing more people before I end up with a black Carver shirt.
