    Rules are easy, Guess what something is. The person who guesses it, then posts a "name this thing"....and so on. If no one guesses it, you can choose to try something else.

    The spirit of this thread is obscure,odd or cult....but not impossible. It has to be something that exists in the public domain, manufactured and recognizable.

    Back to the Duesenberg engine. Even the OP is wrong. It is a Duesenberg engine, but it is a Model A straight 8, from about 1920 up to the introduction of the J engine. That thing down on the side of the block is the water pump and the shaft coming out of the rear drives the magneto. On a model J the water pump is on the other side.
