Ok I'll admit to being a star wars geek. Anybody else stay up until midnight to watch out as soon as it dropped.
It was a fun episode but mostly stand alone which is odd for a season opener.
I won't spill anything else.
I watched it as soon as I got home from work. I thought it was awesome.
I was tempted to watch Season 2 Episode 1 on my iphone during lunch, but I want to wait until I get home and watch it on the big screen TV. Oh lord, it's hard to hold out. It's hard, damn hard. One more hour, I can do it!!!
You must not know who Temuera Morrison is....
I know he played jango fett in the prequels but he got 3 seconds of screen time in this episode.
I wanted a show that tied into the season finale more than this one did. Nothing wrong with stand alone episodes, I just think they should be mid season events not kickoff events.
Do you not know who he plays in this season?
I don't want to give it away but yes. I'm looking forward to his future appearances.
I’m not a Star Wars fan at all but in love this western sci fi stuff. When Mando walks into the “saloon” and faces off with the Marshall.
Also at the end I got serious Sigurd and Fafnir vibes.

OK, we're on the same page. That's a huge thing for this season. At least as big as the possibility of Asokha, Sabine, and Bo-Katan. We really...really...need to know what happened with the latter, since she was the last one to possess the Darksaber prior to its appearance in Episode Eight with Moff Gideon.
Just renewed my Disney + until this season is over.
even if you aren’t into Disney movies, National Geographic shows are more than worth the $7/month fee
So, that’s what a krayt dragon looks like.
LOS ANGELES, CA—Everyone is excited about the new season of The Mandalorian, but there are fears as well, as the show is the only remaining bit of Star Wars that is any good. These fears have only been amplified by a letter obtained by the FBI, in which Rian Johnson, director of The Last Jedi, threatens to direct an episode of The Mandalorian.
In the letter, Rian Johnson says he has many ideas for the show -- and breakout star The Child in particular -- that will “defy expectations” and take the series “in a completely different direction.”
“These are very clear threats,” said FBI spokesman Ray Hardy. “And we take all threats to Baby Yoda very seriously. He’s one of the only good things we have left this year, and we won’t let any harm come to him.”
The FBI has reacted quickly, trying to locate Rian Johnson and his possible accomplice, Kathleen Kennedy, to make sure his threat to direct an episode is just idle talk and that he is nowhere near where The Mandalorianis being filmed and planned. They’ve also put Jon Favreau, the series showrunner, under protective custody to make sure he is not influenced by any of Rian Johnson’s ideas.
I was ready to binge watch season 2 around my 2 hours of work today.
Pretty awesome episode! Can't wait to see more of Temuera, it appears he has abandoned his armor...
Think the sherif, armor was boba fetts, taken by the Jawas, after boba feet was eaten by Sarlac.
Maybe the next episodes will give clues!
The sheriffs armor was totally boba fetts I think.
Now, cobra Kai season 3 also!!
The Runaways movie, hits home, bought many cassettes in the early/mid 80s’....:
Mnay, many others!
always had a spot for Joan Jett, the sexiest woman I’ve ever seen.
The eyes in her videos, oh my God, she is the sexiest woman I’ve ever seen.
Yup, she is my .....um,..... one!
Love you Joan!
HE LIVES! After all the haters yelling EU wasn't canon for years...HE LIVES AND IT IS 100% CANON CONFIRMED! I have spoken!
God I love Favreau and Filoni so much...the R5 was an awesome easter egg too. Disney needs to just turn Star Wars over to these two.
I was cheesing from ear to ear at the end of season 2 episode 1.
