I thought he was trying to "enhance" the force of the push, and is not as deft at acting it out anymore due to age. He tripped over himself, and went down faster and more clumsily than he wanted to. He used to be able to play out this little scam in past protests, but his balance is too compromised now; it didn't come off this time, and he banged his head.

You can't tell the guys age, he's covered head to tow. Also, they barely pushed him. Bottom line, they acted reasonably and he doesn't belong out there if he's so fragile.

The old guy flopped, or tried to, and actually hurt himself, IMO.

The push shouldn't have been forceful enough to knock him down. He was acting and tripped himself up.

    Uhhh.. "No one gets bypassed"

Except the guy that is laying on the sidewalk, he got bypassed.
If he represented a potential threat grab him, cuff or zip tie him and sit him down. He wants to struggle, that's on him.

You can close your eyes and keep repeating...nothing wrong here.....all you want. We both know that action is not going to fly. It is just that simple...the public is not going to watch that video and accept any claims that the action was necessary.

They want the next "victim" and a settlement from the city. This guy will get paid.

What video did you watch that you can't tell the guy is elderly, or that he is covered head to toe?

I think it very likely that the confrontation was a set up. Most likely they wanted a video of an elderly white man being arrested.

In the end, they hit the jackpot, they got a nice video of cops pushing a elderly man down and a nice puddle of blood under his head.

    I didn’t see anything that warranted a
hard shove. Especially at a protest over police brutality.

It wasn't that hard of a shove.

He put himself there, and he got what he got.

    Stupid is as stupid does.

Should have pushed him harder - F* the a-hole. I'm ~his age. Some advice for the old dogger - if your not prepared to play stay the F* home. Staged for the video.

I was telling it from when I watch it earlier today. I see he does not have a hat on, so they could see that much of him. Yes, he has grey/white hair.

I don't think that it was that hard a shove.

The problem is it doesn't take to hard a hove to push down a thin 75 year old guy. Nor is it hard to make them lose their balance.

He is too old for this rioting business. He should have stayed home and taken his Geritol.

Did anyone notice that the cop that was in the direct path of the old guy was not the one that shoved him?

It was the officer to the right of the officer in front of the old guy that shoved him.

I did. And the officers looked so surprised at the way he fell they didn't know how to react.

That is one way to look at it, ( the common sense way)

Another is he was the MVP of the protest providing solid gold video for the left.
